Value co-creation networks and social media conversation

During November 13 to 16, Behavior, Energy and Climate Change (BECC) Conference has been held in Sacramento, CA. This year, the BECC Conference is the fourth annual conference focused on understanding the nature of individual and organizational behavior and decision making, and using that knowledge to accelerate our transition to an energy-efficient and low carbon economy.

IEN team attended the meeting and participated in the “Social Media and Networks” panel. Dr. Martha Russell talked about the Global Innovation Ecosystems Network on Green-tech industry as well as a case study of consumers’ social conversations about energy via Twitter. Tweets mentioning “smart meter” and “energy audit” are monitored and compared by different time periods by IEN tools. The presentation addresses the opportunities for companies to co-create with consumers and identify the pathways for behavior change through business networks.
